Some stoves have mounting holes, so drill through to the worktop, but make sure there are no pipes or controls in the way.

4

Secure the end of the bolts fitted in the last step with washers and nuts from underneath the worktop. Route the hose from the stove to the gas bottle, making sure it cannot get trapped or damaged.

These coach bolts have a domed head, which creates a neat finish when they are used to secure the stove to the worktop.

Use washers and nuts to secure the bolts and keep the stove firmly fixed to the worktop.

FLYING STOVE

The purpose of securing a stove to a worktop is to make sure it doesn’t launch itself at any passengers in the event of heavy braking or an accident. So the base of the stove can be bolted down to a worktop, but the metal grille that sits on top is usually slotted in position and can easily be removed. This must be removed and stored in a cupboard when travelling.
