Reward – positive reinforcement

When I was introduced to the rewards method, though sceptical at first, I realized the benefits of this type of training method. The main difference to what I had been using was that the good behaviour was rewarded instead of the incorrect behavior being corrected and I saw this as a more positive approach to dog training. When I applied the principle to human scenarios, it became so obviously the correct method for training dogs, that I was amazed I ever thought differently.
