The Houndstooth Stitch

The Diamond Stitch

This is a very easy stitch, but it produces pretty diamonds in the crochet fabric.

You will need to know how to chain and double crochet.

Pattern is worked in sets of 2 plus 1. For this example I have chained 21.

Row 1: With Color A dc into the 4th ch from the hook, dc into the same sp, sk 1 ch *2dc into the next ch, sk 1 ch* rep ending with a dc into the last ch st

Row 2: With Color B ch3, dc into the same sp, work 2 dc between each set of 2 dc, end with 2 dc into last st

Row 3: With Color A or C ch3 work 2 dc between each set of 2 dc, end with dc into last st

Repeat Rows 2 & 3 alternating colors as you like until desired length.
