CHORDS

Chords are built out of 1st, 3rd and 5th note in the scale. For example: You already know the notes of the C major scale and you know that the 1st, 3rd and the 5th notes of the C major scale are C, E and G. Those 3 notes combined make C major chord. This is also a pattern so it will work with any other scale not just C major. As we said earlier, these are beginners lessons and we will not bother too much with the theory so let's get ourselves to playing.

We will learn some basic chords and some bar chords and you will be playing in no time. In the following pictures you will again see numbers by the red dots and to clarify one more time red dots are the places where your fingers should be and the numbers by the dots represents the finger which should be on that place.
