Raised bed gardening can be used for any types of plants so long as you have the room for it. However, if room is an issue container gardening or even trellis gardening is useful. You also need a lot of room for companion gardening to produce enough to be self-sufficient.

The conditions for planting are going to be an important thing to consider before you decide on what type of urban garden you need. If you’re in an area that has bad soil, you’ll need raised bed gardens because that way you can replace the majority of the soil with healthier soil. If you have rich soil but not enough room to truly garden, it may be best that you try container gardening or trellis gardening. You always have to take into consideration the conditions you’ll be working with.
