Neck and Shoulders

Many of us need some adjustment at the neck and shoulders. For instance, many of us have one shoulder higher than the other. Sometimes a simple lift at the lowest shoulder will work with no adjustment needed for the other shoulder, and this can be done on the final garment. However, it may be that the shoulder is too wide or gaping and is affecting the armhole. Or perhaps the back shoulder needs better fitting. Fig. 53 shows the shoulder seam having been lifted slightly at the neck edge. This has had the double effect of making the shoulder fit better and also reducing the excess fabric at the front neckline.
