Chapter 11

Avery

WHEN I WAKE ON MONDAY morning, Lucian has already gone. The past three days, while extremely enjoyable, came at a price. Lucian rearranging his schedule meant there were things he needed to take care of on his first day back at the office. One of the many things the time away gave me was a renewed love of the violin. My mission today is to retrieve and repair my old violin. It may be too small for me now, but I want to keep it for sentimental reasons. My plan is to purchase something new. I am ready to play again; ready to fill my heart and home with music again.

With an itinerary in mind, I text William, my driver and bodyguard. Giving myself only an hour to be ready, I spring out of bed, sprinting to the shower. I’m in and out in under five minutes. Smiling inwardly, I recall the shower two nights ago. My center clenches, reacting to how full I felt with a butt plug in my ass and Lucian’s cock filling my pussy. The shower was one of the longest we’ve ever had together. When he finally removed the plug, I mourned the loss of it and suddenly felt empty. We haven’t used the two larger plugs yet. I’m eagerly waiting to try them out. Lucian was as gentle and patient as I knew he would be. Afterwards, he took care of me, holding me in his arms, whispering how much he loves me until the last words I hear are, “I’m going to marry you, Avery West.” I know it wasn’t a proposal, but when the time comes there can be only one answer. Yes.

Now that I’ve showered and dressed, I need food. Maggie is in the kitchen when I get there.

“Good morning, Miss West,” she says. “What would you like for breakfast?”

I’m trying to accept someone other than myself taking care of my needs. Being Lucian Thorne’s live-in girlfriend comes with certain perks I’m not sure I will ever be comfortable with. I tell myself it’s a fair trade off. Three days out of the week Lucian and I can be a normal couple. I make dinner for him or we’re in the kitchen preparing a meal together. But what’s normal when your boyfriend’s a billionaire and can have anything he wants? A timer goes off, and Maggie is still waiting for my answer.

“Good morning, Maggie,” I reply, “just, coffee and an omelet.”

“Your usual?” she asks

“Yes, thanks.”

Humming a song, I don’t recognize, Maggie pours me a cup of coffee. Then goes about making the omelet. When she is done, she plates the omelet, placing it in front of me. I thank her again, before taking the first bite.

Finishing my breakfast, I swallow the last sip of my coffee. Now that I’m nourished, I’m ready to head out on my mission. Padding barefoot down the hall to the bedroom, I slip on my sandals and grab my purse.

William is in the foyer waiting for me when I return.
