Chapter 11
My apartment was stuffy from being closed up all day. I told Sundown to open a few windows, and made a quick trip to the head. I wasn't quite finished when the bathroom door opened behind me. Naked, he leaned in and started the shower. It was just what I needed and I quickly stripped and stepped in behind him. He turned into my arms and rested his forehead on my shoulder. I held him as the water poured over us. I was about to reach for the soap when Sundown moved in my arms.
"I grow weak with hunger, Fallon." He examined his feet. "And I'm waterlogged."
Waterlogged I could safely ignore, but his need for food was likely real. His Chal metabolism burned a lot of calories to maintain a human appearance.
I reached for a vial of the yellow liquid he used as a cleansing agent and a washcloth. I lathered the cloth, breathing in the subtle herbal scent as I washed his golden skin. He stood still while I worked, eyes closed, then took the washrag from me and started to rub it over my chest.
"I don't like it when we're at odds, Sundown. I didn't realize how much your presence is with me until you weren't there."
His hands fondled my genitals as he washed me. My body responded to his touch, and he moved on to my legs.
"You were right to be angry, Fallon. You've been patient in the face of my fear. I'm grateful for this."
I pulled him up and took the cloth from him. "We're clean enough."
Sundown smiled, a familiar green glint in his eyes as he backed me under the spray. "We will rinse and eat, then I'll demonstrate how contrite I am."
"Babe, make up sex would be great, but I don't want you to think you have to service me if you need more time."
He ran a fingertip along the length of my shaft. "Why do you think it's only you who needs?"
"Because I'm an idiot?"
Sundown reached behind me and shut down the shower. "There is so much I could say in response, but it's best I not."
I smacked his butt. "Hand me a towel and head for the kitchen. You've got a bunch of nasty green stuff in the fridge."
He slanted his mouth across mine in response. His silky tongue licked my lips, and I opened to him, allowing him to feast on me.
How many times had we kissed since we'd been together? Six times a day? Ten? More? We were well practiced at arousing each other, but this was different. This kiss held a poignant newness that spoke of regrets and promises, and those things we never said to each other. The kiss went on and on with my cock hard between us and thoughts of food fading fast.
Sundown's mouth clung to mine until the last moment as he backed away from me, butt first. He flipped the nearest towel to me and grabbed the other one for himself. His gaze dropped to my erection.
