Picture 1 Trace onto the foundation paper.

The fabrics need to be placed right sides together with the paper, right side up, on top (Picture 2). Hold the paper up to a light to be sure that the fabric covers the necessary area. Be aware of where the fabric will be sewn and make sure that it covers the next seam line when pressed flat. Sew the line, trim off the excess seam allowance, then flip the strip and press in place. Be sure to leave a 1/4 inch seam allowance on the last strip.
