All the music practitioners interviewed were active prior to taking up MySpace. In this section, they reflect on their work before and after MySpace. A key change in their music practice relates to the difference between aspects of the online and offline in their music practice. Just as with the introduction of media and communications technologies and forms throughout history such as the telephone, MySpace and the digitization of media content and communication have also altered music practitioners’ relationship with the physical ‘real world.’
