The next day at the office, I’m sitting in another boring meeting where everyone is updating me on how the business is doing. ‘Marketing great. Finances great. New author signed. Multiple books getting published. Authors are satisfied.’ Of course, everyone is happy. ‘And how’s the timeline for our editors?’ I ask John, who quickly opens his folder and skims through the papers. ‘Not one book is delayed. I nod once more while I play with a pen in my hand. Through the glass window, I see her walk by and she glances at me. I give her a flirty smirk, to which she smiles and shakes her head. A flutter appears in my stomach as I watch her and I wish I could take her away from here and keep her hostage somewhere high in the mountain where she wouldn’t be able to escape. I’m struggling to understand the change. Whereas normally I’d go about my day as normal, and just see whoever I’m seeing in evenings, I find myself thinking about Brooke all the time. What is it about her that calls to me so much? Pussy, of course, is fucking perfect. Her moans imprint onto my skin every time we have sex, but it’s also her laugh, and how she goes about herself is different to my normal dates. She doesn’t need to try to impress others.
