I peek open one eye when I don’t feel Benton next to me. Sitting up, I look around at the empty bed. There’s not even a kitten to be found. I crawl from bed, heading to the bathroom. I let out a small yelp when I see myself. I look a hot mess, and I think Charlie might have slept in my hair again. I have no idea what his fascination with that is, but I can’t bring myself to tell him no or remove him from it once he does fall asleep.

That said, as much as I love my little kitten babies sleeping with me, I need some time alone in that bed with Benton. I also need him to not be sneaking from it before I wake up. I had plans to seduce him this morning. I’m starting to think he’s the real cock stopper and not the kittens.

I tame my hair the best I can before getting myself somewhat together. Since I’m going to be on house arrest, I might need a few more things from my father’s. I wonder if he even has a clue about what is going on? That’s when it hits me that I haven’t even been in contact with anyone since the night of Operation Pussy Control.

“My phone!” I yelp remembering I haven’t called Polly yet. She is going to murder me. It’s been over twenty-four hours since our little adventure and she hasn’t heard a peep. Murder is probably putting it lightly. I dash from the bedroom and hurry down the stairs. I follow the smell of food as I dart into the kitchen.

“I need a phone, Benny!” I don’t remember where I put mine. I was always losing that thing.

He looks up from the table in the kitchen where he’s sitting reading a paper. The Terrific Trio all look up at me from their bowls on the table.

“You let them eat on the table?” I beam. My dad wouldn't let the kittens leave my room. I hated keeping them confined, but I also didn’t want them getting my father’s wrath either. When he gets angry, anyone close better duck. He has a nasty side that I try my best to avoid.

“They like company.” He shrugs like it’s no big deal.

The plan is to make Benton fall in love with me, but somehow I am falling more in love with him instead.

“Code is 1108.” He pulls out his phone and hands it to me.

“That’s easy to remember. It’s my birthday.” I enter the code. “Wait. I can use your personal cell phone?” I tuck it closer to me.

“I gave you the code, Penny,” he reminds me. True. He’d done it without hesitation. “Besides. I’m sure my little rebel knows how to crack a cell phone.” He fights a smirk. My eyes go to his mouth. It’s then I realize he hasn't really kissed me. Oh, he kissed between my thighs, but he hasn't kissed my lips. Before I can think better of it, I lean down and brush my mouth against his in a light kiss.
