Chapter Twelve

This sub had balls that even I had to admire to call out Robbie. “Excuse me?” I asked of the man stepping forward into the open space.

I wasn’t even sure who this man was, but he met my gaze directly before he took a deep breath. “You heard me. Your sub is atrociously bad mannered.”

I narrowed my eyes. “And you’re on dangerous ground, insulting my sub like this.”

A hint of fear flashed across his face, but he continued on, bold as brass. “The way he acts, he’s obviously new, and he doesn’t deserve your strokes. I can’t imagine how he managed to snag a top like you. Was he a little whore for you, Sir? I’m sure you could find much better than that poor excuse for a submissive.”

I heard Robbie’s gasp from beside me, but I didn’t turn to him. “That’s enough,” I ordered.

“Louden!”

The fury from his dom made Louden shudder, but he didn’t face the man standing behind him. He bowed his head with a sullen expression.

Vaguely recognizing the dom as Master Vale, a man I had seen around this weekend, I felt sorry for Louden. He wasn’t the most skilled dom I had seen here, but he was young, and his gorgeous face made up for him being a little rough around the edges as a dominator.

“Apologize to Master Drake,” Master Vale ordered.

Louden’s lips quirked. “I’ll do no such thing. Master Drake’s submissive shouldn’t be welcome here.”

A gasp rose from the crowd gathered, and Master Vale’s expression darkened. “That’s not your choice, slave. You’re already in serious trouble, so I’d advise you not to make it any worse for yourself.”

Maybe Louden got off on getting into trouble. I knew of a few subs who would start a fight just to get a punishment, but when the sub leveled a glare at Robbie, I saw the man was out for blood. An uneasy ache bloomed within me as Louden spoke. “He’s not one of us, Sir. That’s why I called him out. He doesn’t deserve a dom like Master Drake.”

With his pouty rant over, the full recognition of the public slap he had given Master Vale became clear to him. Not only had he admitted to wanting me, but he also implied his master wasn’t meeting his needs.

Oh Lord, there was more drama between these two than on the telly. I would have helped Master Vale out with a quick training session on the side, but now my main concern was getting Robbie out of there before this got out of hand or, even worse, our cover was blown.

Louden was unfortunately correct about my sub. Robbie wasn’t a trained submissive; he barely knew his positions, but we weren’t here to show off his talents as my slave. We were here on a mission.

I should have anticipated Robbie reacting like he did since he wasn’t one to back down from an insult. He was also about to prove the other man correct as he sneered at Louden. “Master Drake chose me as his submissive, not you.
