This is either the best idea I’ve ever had or the absolute worst one. I guess it could be both of those things happening at the same time.

But either way, I am getting Erica Ridley out of the rest of her clothing and onto her hands and knees in front of me as soon as possible. Or I could enjoy her while she’s standing, pressed up against the wall.

Or bent over the bed, her impertinent little ass high in the air and turned a lovely shade of pink from the spanking she most definitely deserves. The pictures running through my imagination are well past thrilling.

I speed up when we clear the last landing, taking the steps two at a time. A little laugh escapes her and she grins up at me. “In a hurry, Mister Bossy? Where’s the fire?”

I pause long enough to kiss her again, rendering her liquid and pliant, her pupils blown and her mouth swollen.

Erica is always wonderful—smart and smart-mouthed, organized within an inch of her life when she’s not flying off the handle, and so caring and protective of me in a way that nobody else has ever been. I don’t know how I ever made it without having her in my life before now.

But this Erica—who is undone by my kiss and touch—is something entirely new. I love being the one who can get her busy brain to shut off, distracting her long enough for her to simply enjoy herself and the pleasures of her body without always having to care for everyone around her.

“I’ll show you why I’m in such a rush,” I murmur, then sink my teeth into the space where her neck meets her shoulder, just to feel her wriggle against me as her shriek spills down the hallway.

She’s delicious. Better than I deserve. Although I know that she’s not with me for fame or money, it’s difficult for me to figure out what it is she sees in me. At least I know that I can give her body what it wants.

I’m dying to be inside her, giving her exactly what she needs. Everything she needs, all night long, until she begs me for mercy or we break the bed, whichever happens first.

I carry her into my room and place her gently onto my bed. She looks so fucking perfect, all spread out before me. Like a present I can’t wait to finish unwrapping.

Her hand skims across her breast, brushing across one of her nipples, and I can feel myself aching with the need to be the one to touch her.

“What exactly was it you wanted to show me, Bossy?” Her lips curl up into a half smile, and I reach out and trace the shape of her lips, leaving her eyes wide and sparkling.

Then I let my hand drift down from her face to her neck, resting it there against her fluttering pulse. “Before anything else happens, I need you to know something. About this. Us.” I clear my throat and reach for her skin again.
