I turned around to look at him. "How nice to see you, Franklin. How've you been?"

"Very well. I see Chase still has you doing his dirty work."

"What are you doing here?" I lifted an eyebrow.

His smile faded. "If you must know"--he brightened again, walking over to Teresa--"I've been consoling this poor girl." He smoothed back her hair. "Seems her lover prefers cock to pussy."

That was not winning me any favors.

"What do you want, Champagne? Shouldn't you be off beating someone to death?"

"I thought you told me one day you'd be there?"

He gave me a look that I didn't like so....well...I broke it anyway.

"You son of a bitch," he yelped.

"Next time, it will be your head." I slid the gun out of his pocket and took out the bullets. I threw the bullets at him and tucked the gun in my belt. "Nice. I'll add it to my collection." I waved and walked back outside. It had stopped raining. That was a good sign.

I was starved. I called Chase from a Greek restaurant where I was pigging out on steak and shrimp.

"It was an ambush. TC's Franklin Kennedy was there, ready to play games. I broke his arm for him." I drank some more wine.

Chase laughed. "That was nice of you."

"He pissed me off. I don't like his face."

"Better reason than none."

"Where are you?"

"TCs wanted a meeting."

"You're not going, are you? We've got Spider.
