Chapter 23

Bambi

Just when things had gotten better it went right back to shit. Mazaki was being an ass due to him not talking to his mother. We were at each other’s throats everyday over nothing.

I was five months pregnant now and miserable as hell. Mazaki hadn't been home in days and this shit was really getting on my fucking nerves. I helped Junior with his homework and then cooked and fed the kids. After they ate I let them watch TV as I cleaned the kitchen and got their bath water ready. After taking them a bath I put them to bed and headed to my room to shower and get ready for bed.

When I was done I grabbed my kindle and laid in the bed finding places to go for Juniors eighth birthday party. I must had fallen asleep. I woke up to Mazaki’s phone steady going off. I grabbed the phone seeing that there was a message from this bitch Nicole. Wondering what the fuck she wanted at two in the morning, knowing damn well wasn’t to check on my son.

Baby Moms: You coming back tonight??? Round Two???

Me: Yeah

Baby Moms: Hurry up I miss you!

I scrolled up with my mouth wide open reading previous texts. This nigga had been with her this whole time. I jumped up out the bed and busted thru the bathroom door. “So that’s where you been all this fucking time? Fucking Nicole huh? While I’m playing good ole’ step mom and miserable bare foot and pregnant wife to your ass! Tell me what the fuck did I ever do to deserve half the shit that I am getting from you?” I yelled as tears fell from my eyes. “You had no fucking business going thru my phone. When I get out we will talk.” He said as he turns back around and washed off. At that moment I lost it. Mazaki was truly playing some hoe ass game and I was tired of them. This was the last straw. We had been together over a year now and shit all the bull shit outweighed the love. I threw his phone at his ass in the tub and ran to get my baby and leave. If him and Nicole was fucking around, then they could keep their own son.

As I was packing things for my daughter, Junior woke up “Momma were you going?” He said. Right then and there I knew that he didn’t belong to them he was mine. “Baby just get up and get some of your things we are going away for a while.” I said “Daddy coming?” he asked “Not now baby, please do as I ask.” I said. “I hate when you cry momma.” He said hugging me “Ok.” He said to me and I cried even harder. “Bambi!” I heard Mazaki yelling. I continued moving fast to get the fuck away from him. As soon as I came out of the kid’s room Mazaki saw what I was doing and back slapped me.
