Chapter Twenty-One

Even from first class, the wait to disembark is taking too goddamn long. And I don’t have time to waste. Not with the memory of Amy’s hand gripping my cock driving me crazy. I need to see her naked body spread across the bed. I need to touch and feel every part of her. I need to hear her scream my name.

When the fasten seatbelt sign turns off, we’re the first into the aisle, officially forming the line to exit. Now if someone will please open the damn door. For a moment, one of the flight attendants and I make eye contact. My focus darts from her to the door and back. Just use a firm grip on that lever there, put your shoulder into it, and push. She smiles politely then turns her attention to another attendant. If they don’t fucking hurry up, I’m taking Amy to the lavatory and things are going to get awkward.

My one consolation, thanks to the rush of normals cramming in behind us from coach, is that I’m physically pinned against her ass. Which presses and rubs against my dick every time she shifts or moves.

Fucking hell.

Then—because fuck my life—the captain comes over the intercom to announce that he’s been informed of a problem with the jet bridge and we’re going to be delayed “a few more minutes.” Groans erupt throughout the cabin. As if even the most infrequent of travelers are fluent enough in pilot-speak to know how flexible “a few more minutes” can be when trapped on an airplane.

Amy looks back anxiously, the yearning in her eyes met by the burning in mine. “This is taking forever,” she whispers while reaching between us and squeezing the crotch of my jeans.

“You have no idea how much I want you right now,” I growl into her ear. “Not the first fucking clue. But I’m gonna show you.” I kiss and nibble along her jawline. “As soon as we get to the hotel, you’re mine.”

“That better be a promise, Wilde.”

A wafer of a woman too posh to stand gasps in astonishment from her seat directly behind us but whatever. We’ll never see her again, so her opinion doesn’t matter. Besides, maybe she’ll go home ‘inspired’ and give her husband a reason to remember why he fell for her in the first place.

Finally, after the longest fifteen minutes of my life, the flight attendant opens the door then steps back and smiles. “Thank you for choosing Sonic Regional.” Stepping off the plane, I hear her recite the same words to each passenger who passes as I snake an arm around Amy’s waist and squeeze her into me.

“Welcome to Nashville. What do you want to do first?”

She turns, something wicked dancing in her eyes. “I thought you had a promise to fulfill.”
