Ryan stared up at the ceiling, wishing he could fall asleep, wishing he couldn’t hear the two men in the other room fucking, wishing he didn’t feel like he was crawling out of his own skin with the need to see Beau, wishing a part of him wasn’t doubting that Beau was still working and that he wasn’t off fucking someone else – like that Cunningham douche.

“Don’t, he’s working,” he mumbled as he rolled to his side to try another position to try to get comfortable. At this point he should probably just give up on trying to sleep. It was three in the morning and it really wasn’t going to happen now. He was just turning to climb out of bed when he heard the front door close quietly so he laid back down and watched the bedroom door. Beau wandered in looking haggard and exhausted. “Hey,” he mumbled.

“Hey,” Ryan said.

“I just want to fall into that bed and go into a coma but first I need to shower,” he said as he took a few steps towards the bathroom.

“Do you need to shower?” Ryan said and he regretted the words the moment they were out of his mouth but they were out there now and he couldn’t take them back. He watched Beau’s shoulders shoot up as he winced and froze then he turned around and locked an angry gaze on Ryan that made Ryan want to slink into the corner of the room and hide, but he held his ground and waited for what Beau had to say. “I’ve been locked in a tiny room with four men for twenty four hours with nothing but coffee, crappy food and lousy air conditioning, so yes I need a fucking shower. And then I’d like to crawl into bed and be held, no sex, just held while I try to sleep because I’ve heard some of the most horrifying things I’ve ever heard in my life, Forrester and I really need to try to forget that shit in the arms of someone that I fucking thought cared about me. If I was wrong I’ll go sleep on the fucking tiny couch.”

Ryan flinched as if he’d been slapped, “No, you weren’t wrong, come to bed.”

Beau held up a finger, “One time, babe. You get to doubt me one time. Do it again and I’m out. I will not cheat on you. If I’m ever tempted to I will end things before I do, you got it?”

Ryan nodded his head and then watched as Beau spun around and marched into the bathroom, slamming the door and locking it so that Ryan couldn’t even think of apologizing to him while he was in there. “Fuck,” he groaned, throwing his arm over his eyes and feeling like a much bigger douche than that Cunningham dude ever was.

He heard a knock at the door and he looked over to see Ben standing there in a pair of pajama pants, his hair going every which way, looking like the freshly fucked man that he was.
