16 Sophie

Sophie was absolutely certain that she and Eric scandalised the mild-mannered driver on the brief ride back to Eric's apartment. Under any other circumstances, she would have felt guilty, but tonight she was too happy – and too full of desire – to care. She didn't even care that it was Kristen's dress she was wearing as Eric's strong hands moved over her waist, her hips, her back as his mouth claimed hers. In fairness, Kristen would probably have been delighted that her dress was seeing so much action.

The car came to an abrupt stop, and Eric pulled back. "My place," he said. "I didn't ask if you'd prefer your studio?"

"We could be going to the moon, and I wouldn't care, so long as it was with you," she whispered, biting her lip, and somehow managed to resist the urge to start kissing him again until they were out of the car.

She was impatient as Eric swiped his card at the lift, and she followed him into the stainless steel and mirrors as soon as the doors sprung. Sophie was far too busy to be bothered by her own lack of reflection.

"God, Sophie, I've thought about this so much," Eric whispered as he took her hand, leading her down the hall. "Wanted you so badly."

Sophie watched impatiently as he fumbled with his keys, and they tumbled through the door, still wrapped up in each other.

"You can have me," she cried out as Eric's massive arms wrapped around her, lifting her off her feet like she weighed nothing at all. "Seriously, whatever you want. I'm all yours."

"Fuck yes," Eric murmured as he mouthed over her neck like he was drinking in her scent. "All mine."

"Being quite the possessive shifter," Sophie whispered, but she gasped as his teeth grazed over her neck, pressing her body against his, desperate for more.

"I think you like that," Eric's lips closed over her earlobe, flicking over the delicate skin and sending fresh sparks of heat rushing through her body.

Sophie made a sound somewhere between agreement and a whine of pure need, and Eric chuckled against her skin.

"Want to take this to my bedroom?"

"Yes," Sophie replied with a tiny nod of her head. "I really, really do." Her words were cut off when Eric picked her up off the ground once more, strong arms holding her against his chest like she was a blushing bride he was taking over the threshold of their home.

She didn't have time to take in the details of Eric's bedroom, partitioned off from the main area of his loft. Grey and white striped sheets, a neatly made bed, the faint smell of cologne. All very tasteful and masculine, not that it mattered. Not when Eric was throwing her down on the bed and peeling off his tuxedo jacket, pulling at the buttons of his shirt like he'd tear it to pieces if they didn't give way soon.

"Let me!" Sophie insisted, rising up. Her nimble fingers made short work of the offensive
