Notice for hearing to be held in public, 14–19 August 2020

Detective Constable Anthea Lynch, based at North-West London’s Homicide Command Unit, will answer allegations that her conduct amounts to a breach of Standards of Professional Behaviour. It is alleged that on 19 May 2020, whilst on duty DC Anthea Lynch entered into an altercation involving a member of the public during an intelligence-led police raid. In the course of said raid, DC Lynch was assaulted. It is further alleged that she used excessive force and verbally abusive language during the arrest of the suspect. It is alleged that in doing so DC Lynch breached the Standards of Professional Behaviour in respect of: Use of Force, Honesty & Integrity, Authority, Respect and Courtesy, and Discreditable Conduct. The hearing will start on Friday, 14 August 2020 and is listed for four days. The hearing will start at 0930 hours and will be held at Empress State Building, Lillie Road, SW6 1TR. The identity of victims/witnesses will be protected during the hearing as appropriate.
