I could get used to waking up like this, with Lorna tucked against my side, her hand resting on my chest, still deep in sleep, her body rising and falling with steady breaths that fan across my skin.

I let my mind wander back to last night and how perfect it was. My heart races as the memories come flooding back, and blood rushes south when I remember how good she felt, how sweet she tasted, how the sounds of her pleasure had my heart exploding in my chest.

If that’s the case, I’m going to make damn sure that I make the most of the time I have left with her.

There’s something heavy on my calf and I look down to find Romeo’s head resting there, his eyes squeezed shut as his body twitches, probably deep into a dream and I smile.

I press a kiss to Lorna’s head and she begins to stir. “Good morning,” I whisper.

“Mmm… morning.” Her voice is thick with sleep, her hair ruffled and matted, sticking up at odd angles, but if it isn’t the most beautiful thing I’ve ever seen. She stretches, craning her neck up as she beams at me. “How did you sleep?”

“Like a baby. Seems you wore me out.”

“Likewise.”

“Well, what do you say to taking a nice long shower, grabbing some food and spending the morning in bed?”

“Sounds like a plan.”

I give her a closed mouth kiss before nudging Romeo up and off me and standing up, pulling her up along with me before tossing her over my shoulder. She shrieks when I bring my palm down on her ass and giggles all the way up the stairs as I carry her into the bathroom.
