The film is enhanced by Florian Koerner von Gustorf’s brilliant, brave performance as Lothar Schramm.

He is a very successful film producer in Germany. He has produced films by Christian Petzold and Thomas Arslan that get big awards in Germany. He is a friend of mine. He plays in a band from the punk days. It was very nice of him to do this film, because he always told me that he was doing “real movies” at the time, and that I should consider myself lucky that although I work with no money, I do have artistic freedom.
