“There’s just nothing beautiful about a toilet onstage,” Jones says. “We tried to do rows of toilets and all kinds of ideas. Then we thought maybe we could create more of a communal sink that you might find in a dorm.” Jones asked Jack Thorne and J.K. Rowling about the viability of this idea and got the green light.
