Chapter 13

I shower quickly, feeling slightly uncomfortable using Jared’s shower because I miss mine back home. Not that it’s really my home any longer, not after what happened, but it still feels weird to be showering someplace else. Jared has a thick blue body wash in there and I squeeze it onto his loofah, enjoying the deep manly smell that immediately fills the shower.

Hot water rushes over me as I rinse off and I hop out, toweling off quickly before wrapping the towel around me and looping the tip of it into itself to hold it in place. Even though we just had sex up against his huge windows, I’m not entirely keen on accidentally flashing anyone who may be in his office.

“Jared?” I call, cracking the door to his office to look out. He doesn’t answer so I push the door open, feeling slightly put on the spot. The classical music is louder than it had been before, but when I step out into his office, it cuts off.

“Good shower?” He asks. He has his back to me and slowly turns around, his eyes widening at the view of me wrapped in his towel.

“Nice and hot. And I smell like you now, so maybe the guys will be able to keep their hands off of me,” I joke.

“They better or they’ll have to answer to me. I’m not joking, Cara. I’m not a sharer, except for with Ben and Zachary. That’s different and it’s not something that I’m going to do with anyone else, you understand?”

“Completely.” I walk across his office and kiss him to try to calm him down before looking around for my clothes. “Where did you put my clothes?”

“I thought you could go in your towel,” he says, and I feel a jolt of panic tear through me. Then he grins and shakes his head . “I’m kidding. They’re over there on the chair.” He points to the chair behind me and I turn, wondering how in the world I walked past my clothes.

Probably because I couldn’t stop thinking about what he looked like holding his cock in his hand before he fucked me.

That would be enough to distract any person, I was pretty sure.

I dress quickly, well aware of his eyes on me and the way he can’t seem to keep from watching me move. I might find it a little unnerving except for the fact that I love knowing that I drive him wild. There’s something about having that much control over a man like Jared, especially when it’s obvious that he’s going to take control with me every chance he can get, that is heady and addictive.

As soon as I’m clothed he pulls me to him and kisses me again, his lips lingering just a little longer on mine. I don’t want him to stop, but he finally pulls away with a smile on his face. “You ready to meet the guys?”

“I think so,” I tell him, swallowing hard. “This is just really different than critiquing food, you know.
