How dare she. He took in the scene before him. How had she managed to escape? He descended the stairs and saw the broken chair and her discarded bindings.
âBitch!â he screamed at the prone body on the floor. Enraged, he lifted his foot and stomped hard on her ribs in his high heels. He felt something give way as the steel stiletto punctured her skin. There was a spurt of blood that splashed onto his silver shoes. He was incensed. âHow dare you?â He grabbed her by the hair and dragged her across the floor. He would need another chair now. His rage was palpable.
Heart pounding, he stormed back upstairs and locked the door behind him. She wouldnât move, but the little bitch had shown herself to be resourceful, and that just wouldnât do. It wasnât how proper girls behaved. He stormed across the floor and retrieved another chair. Metal this time. The little bitch wonât get out of this one. Opening a cupboard, he dragged out the heavy-duty rope and headed back into the basement.
She was right where he had left her. He threw the rope down the stairs and dragged the chair down behind him.
He checked her pulse. Of course, she was still breathing, but there was blood everywhere. Good. Now he could really make her suffer. He picked her up, threw her battered body over his shoulder and pushed her into the chair. He tied her up once again, ensuring that knot was sufficiently tight.
Going to the tap in the corner, he picked up the bucket he had been letting her use as a toilet and filled it with ice cold water. Carrying it back over to the chair, he threw it over her.
She screamed, instantly awake.
He leaned in closer and stared at her, making sure she was fully conscious.
âWhat the fuck do you think youâre doing?â He snarled.
His guest shivered and let out a groan of pain.
âDid you think you could leave me now?â
No answer.
He slapped her hard across the face, her head violently twisting round and spilling blood from her lips.
âYou had plenty of chances to ask me for forgiveness, but no. You chose to ask stupid questions about your child. Well, sheâs dead. I killed her.â Letâs see what she does now.
He stared down at her and saw tears escaping from her eyes. Good.
âNothing to say?â His rage was building again. It always started at the pit of his stomach and turned his insides into an oozing blackness that he could feel working its way throughout his body. As it reached his face, he felt his temperature rise and he started to sweat. He had to find a release.
âThis is not how it happens. You donât tell me what to do,â he threatened, slapping her again. This time she moaned louder.
He stepped away, breathing heavily. He angrily paced back and forth as he thought through his next move. He couldnât understand it. His intuition was rarely wrong. Heâd have to get rid of her now and move her later.
