Male Anatomy (The Lingam)

Every man has a unique size, shape, and color lingam. Your sensations and what feels best to you also varies. Unless you’re already having multiple and full-body orgasms, you’ve yet to tap into your greatest sexual potential. Let’s get acquainted with the intimate anatomy of your pleasure center further, gentlemen.

The penis, testicles (testes) and prostate gland comprise most of the male genitalia. The penis is made of spongy tissue, and contains no bones or muscles. The penis extends for two to three inches inside the body in the pubococcygeus (PC) muscle, which can be strengthened in order to achieve stronger erections and orgasms, and to obtain better ejaculatory control (explained in detail in the next chapter). There is a small tube that runs through the center of the penis called the urethra, which carries urine and semen out of the body. When a man is nearing readiness to ejaculate semen, a valve shuts off the pathway to urine. The head of the penis, called the glans, is very sensitive due to many nerve endings. In an uncircumcised penis the foreskin covers the glans when the penis is relaxed, and pulls back to expose the glans when the penis is erect. There has been very little research and conflicting assessments about the number of nerve endings found in the foreskin and how circumcision may change sensitivity of the glans.

Just below the corona, or ring of tissue at the tip of the penis lies the frenulum. The frenulum is often likened to the clitoris, and is often very sensitive. Some men may have a small bump to indicate the frenulum, while others do not. Ask your partner to show you where this highly sensitive and often arousing place is located on his penis, and how to best stimulate it.

The two testicles (testes) are enclosed in skin called the scrotum. It is in the testes that sperm and male hormones are produced. A small tube, called the vas deferens, extends from each of the testes to the prostate gland. At ejaculation the semen is pushed through the urethra and out of the tip of the penis by contractions coming from the urethra and muscles in the shaft and base of the penis. The testes swell during sexual arousal and pull up tightly against the body. Pulling the testicles away from the body is one method of prolonging ejaculation.

The prostate, which is a chestnut shaped gland at the center of the pelvis behind the pubic bone and just above the perineum, is often quite sensitive. It is similar to the G-spot in women. Both male and female bodies fill with blood from front to back, so it takes longer for the prostate to become an arousal point. This often occurs as the man approaches orgasm. It is important that a man is well aroused prior to prostate play, which can be done (carefully) through the perineum, anus, or both simultaneously. Ejaculation from the prostate is usually flowing rather than in spurts, and may produce more ejaculate.
