Chapter 14

Greg was chilling on the block when he noticed his cell kept ringing. Every time he looked at it, his mother’s number would pop up. He was still pissed with her about the stunt she pulled earlier, so he ignored all of her calls.

Greg and Jon watch a group of fine ass women walk past them. He was in awe with their beauty. “Damn that bitch is fine,” he dapped up Jon. “Aye baby, hold up a minute. Let me holla at you for a second.”

He began walking towards the ladies and his phone went off again. Madison’s number popped up and this time he opted to answer it. This was her ninth time calling him so he knew something had to be wrong. He answered the phone but didn’t put it to his ear. “Aye baby give me a minute. I got to take this call. Jon, come ‘ere man. Talk with the ladies why I handle this,” Greg said pointing to his phone.

He took a couple steps away from the crowd before he placed the phone to his ear. “Yo.”

“Boy I know you saw me calling you all damn day. Why haven’t you answered my calls? Why the hell it took you so long to answer? I swear for God if I was standing by you I would slap the shit out of you,” Madison ranted.

“Ma, calm your ass down. I’ve been busy today. What up though?” Greg sighed.

“There you go with that I’ve been busy shit again, but I bet your ass won’t be so busy once Charles finds your dumb ass,” Madison snapped.

“Hold up, what is you talking ‘bout now?” Greg was all ears now.

“Charles is in town and looking for you,” Madison screamed.

“Ma, how you know that?” Greg shrieked.

His heart rate picked up a bit. It seemed like everything with their last job is going wrong. Why was Charles looking for him?

“He came to my damn house making threats and shit. If your ass would have answered the phone earlier you would have known this,” Madison uttered.

“What the fuck you mean he came over there making threats? Did that nigga hurt you?” Greg was livid.

In that moment he knew shit had gotten real.

“No, no he didn’t hurt me. I’m just worried what he will do to you once he finds you.” Madison had calmed down a little.

“Man, you don’t have to worry about that. That nigga ain’t gonna fuck with me. He has no reason to,” Greg ensured her.

“Oh yes he does. Son, just be careful out there,” Madison begged.

“Ma I am, but why would he have a reason to want to hurt me? I ain’t did nothing to that nigga. Hell, I should be looking for him. That bitch ass nigga let my auntie kill herself,” Greg babbled.

“Boy shut that shit up. It seems Rachel told him you were responsible for killing his daughter before she killed herself. Now he is out for bloo…” Madison couldn’t even finish her sentence. The phone went dead.
