“You didn’t satisfy her, in case you believed you had.”

Jacob stood, somewhat dumbfounded as he found himself in what appeared to be some sort of dojo that the room was adjacent to. For her to just state that, especially after Jacob failed to find a pair of pants… “I am sorry for that. I just acted and I… I’ll do better next time.”

“Yes, next time.” Master herself was bare to the elements herself, not that she’d been wearing much before. Much like Amelia she had sun kissed, tan skin, but unlike her pupil not an inch of it was covered in tan lines. No, Master took care of those from time to time just to keep everything even. “Now though you and I need to talk. And, by that,” she said as her knuckles popped, “I mean I’m going to fight you and lecture you while you listen and try to defend yourself. Understood?”

Jacob almost went to say he saw where Amelia got her way with men, but then he looked into those yellow eyes. There wasn’t mirth or kindness in there like before. No, now there was only hate, pain, and malice. If he didn’t do something, he was quite possibly going to die, or so those eyes told him.

It was terrifying, and he barely got a nod out before the first punch came. It was blindingly fast, almost fast enough to make up for the fact that she had almost half the room to cover, but defense was what Jacob considered himself to be good at. Well, good at if he was at all good at fighting, something he didn’t consider himself to be.

The words came now too, given evenly and with a cold determination as Master spoke. “I know Amelia didn’t tell you the truth. Of why you couldn’t let go of her. Of why we need you. Of why you are so important to us, because without you we will only continue to fade. And yes, as much as it disgusts me to say,” she said with a quick swipe at Jacob’s head that barely missed the mark, “that means you will be asked to lay with most, if not all of us.”

“Y-You know that I don’t want to screw someone who doesn’t want it, right? Actually, that’s ignoring the fact that I wouldn’t without me loving the-”

And then her fist came down hard, her having used the swipe as a feint to now crash her other hand hard into his face, bringing it down like a hammer as she flattened him. “And that is what pisses me off. The fact that you can look at it like that.”

Jacob looked up, confused and pretty sure his nose was bleeding, but his face almost felt numb from the shock of the blow, and blinked as he thought he saw a tear in Master’s eye. She turned away too quickly for him to be able to tell. Instead, she grabbed a towel that was on the wall and threw it at him.
