Full-Spectrum Lighting

If you notice your health symptoms or moods worsen in winter, you can install full-spectrum lighting to compensate for the loss of sun during the winter. But in shopping for them, beware of color-corrected neodymium bulbs. No incandescent light bulb produces a full-spectrum light. Fluorescent lights do, and I recommend either four-foot tubes from Home Depot, or a compact fluorescent full-spectrum bulb that can screw into a standard fixture. Although they are more costly, they produce a bright light on a low wattage, reducing electrical bills and saving you money in the long run.
