The fat-burning mode enables a person to maximize the function of leptin so that metabolism can maintain a high level of function while converting excess stored fat into energy. The difference between weight loss that occurs in a starvation mode and weight loss that occurs in a fat-burning mode is that in the proper fat-burning mode the subconscious brain never thinks it is starving.
The Five Rules of the Leptin Diet enable leptin and its hormonal management team to smoothly regulate energetic function within the body. Improved efficiency takes significant friction out of the metabolic system, enabling the body to have less inflammation and a faster running, healthy metabolism.
The quality of food is also important. Real quality food, free of toxic hormone disrupters and packing more nutrition per calorie is what the body prefers to see coming in. Poor-quality food is lower in nutritional value and drains energy by inducing digestive challenges.
The combination of the Five Rules, high-quality real food, and moderate exercise are the best way to get into fat-burning mode. Fat-burning mode is signified by an excellent energy level in the morning and in the afternoon, cravings that have gone away, a clear head, good sex drive, and weight loss that is gradually occurring.
Some individuals will dump five to ten pounds of water weight while in the first few weeks of fat-burning mode. Consistently maintaining fat-burning mode usually results in two to four pounds of weight loss per month. Faster weight-loss than that, especially if a person feels weak, tired, loses sex drive, or experiences muscle weakness, signals that he or she is actually in starvation mode. Eat enough to stay in an energized fat-burning mode.
