“I like your outfit. I didn"t know dinner was casual,” Cliff

commented. At least Mark didn"t seem bothered by his early arrival.

“It was all I could manage on my own,” Mark explained, looking

down at himself. “I guess I need your help after all.” He smiled. “I"m

glad you"re here. Can I take your coat?”

Cliff slipped off his coat and handed it over.

Mark stood stock still for a moment. The man had dressed up for

him. “You look great! Now I feel underdressed.”

“I like the way you"re dressed.” Cliff wanted to touch but didn"t

have the courage to do so. He bent to untie his boots instead.

Not being able to manage a hanger, Mark folded Cliff"s heavy

leather coat over the back of a chair. He turned back to watch the man

slip his boots off by the door. “Is it too early to ask for a kiss?”

Cliff broke into a broad smile. “C"mere, Bobcat.” He opened his

arms and waited as the other man walked into them. Holding Mark

tightly, he kissed him deeply. After the kiss, he didn"t let go. “I missed

you.”

“I missed you too,” Mark admitted easily. It hardly seemed

possible that they were still just getting to know each other.

Dropping his chin on Mark"s shoulder, Cliff confessed, “I was

miserable when I walked away from you earlier.”

“Oh, why?” Mark asked with surprise.

“I wanted to let you know… that I cared.” There was no point in

denying the fact, not to Mark anyway. Cliff didn"t want to spend

another afternoon like the one today. “I wanted to grab you and hold

you… and show you.”

“It would have been quite a show.” The mental picture amused

Mark. He massaged the back of the larger man"s neck with his good

hand. Cliff didn"t say anything more. “Why don"t you show me now?”

It came out in a suggestive whisper.

A low rumbling growl issued from deep inside the big man"s

chest. Cliff quickly turned Mark and pressed against him, pinning him
