Dana roamed the battlefield. So many dead. Nour, her bodyguard, and Joffrey, bodyguard, and would-be lover, were among the first killed by Kasayeva’s henchmen. She realized the mafia boss had anticipated her trap, sending two of his shooters to either side of her forces while she was distracted by the driver of the SUV.

Fortunately, Majid was too clever for the pair who circled to his side of the woods and mousetrapped them. She and Majid finished off Kasayeva and Albegov. She saw her loyal follower holding his arm.

“Are you hurt, Majid?”

“No. A mere bullet graze. I’ve done more damage shaving in the morning.”

She examined him closely to determine if he was telling the truth or trying to make light of a more serious wound. Eventually, she decided it didn’t matter. They couldn’t afford to spend time on first aid. The immediate task was to find Kasayeva’s SUV and retrieve the suitcase nukes. Then they would return to the hotel and leave Nuremberg as fast as possible. By now, the polizei would be alerted.
