Stefan is a douche â Cora
The following week, I threw myself into my studies. However, my thoughts always returned to Zach, it was infuriating, and I could not think of much else. But the decision to go cold turkey felt like a good idea, even though it was killing me. Did he want to be with me? Did I want to be with him? We went back to our normal routine of ignoring one another. I would often see him on duty during lunch or break, but he seemed preoccupied and didnât seem to seek me out.
Nevertheless, music is still my favourite lesson to stare at this man-god. But an interesting development, this week, I even caught him (a few times) staring back and, mixed in with that sexy kiss a few weeks back, has given me a new confidence boost to obsess over him even more. During lessons, when he calls upon the class with questions about music or the upcoming A-level exams, I try to give heartfelt and meaningful answers, and for those short moments, it feels like we are connected again and he is staring into my soul. I have left class several times turned on by his brooding look, and itâs slightly embarrassing how just one look would turn my whole body on fire.
My sister seems to always pop into my music lesson before, after, and even sometimes during, coming up with the excuse that she had come on her period, again, and needed a tampon. Pretending to let her eyes roam around the room. But I knew the reason why, she wanted to âgoo-eyeâ at Zach and it was really annoying. I felt like I needed to cat wee all over him to state my territory, that he was mine, even though I knew he wasnât, but you get my point. I even came up with a fun fantasy that when all this was over, we could be together. Even though my head was telling me I was full of shite, my heart was on a whole new fantasy level and there were days where I rocked between my heart and my head, just to survive his lesson; his look, his face, it was torture.
Music lessons were always bittersweet.
I would be so excited to see him and yet I did not want to see him. I was torn with how I felt about him and all the toing and froing in my mind was emotionally draining. Despite this, I am happy that I have been more focused on my studies and working towards my examination. And I am almost ready to submit my application to the university in London. It is under a two-hour drive from home and it satisfied Dadâs overprotective stance of, âdonât go too far away from home.â
But today I need to see Zach. I needed to go and get my recommendation for my application to the university. I feel weak at the knees just thinking about him, alone in the room. My head and my heart want to see him today, so this is a great excuse.
