Chapter 6

I look into his eyes. His large, kind, hazel eyes. They’re unlike any eyes I’ve seen before. They’re not like Terrence’s – piercing and almost frightening – full of knowledge and a wicked surety in his own success. No, they’re darker, softer. Almost like a woman’s eyes, I think. Full of kindness. Full of life. Full of love – for me?

Love? I chide myself, almost laughing at my foolishness. Of course it isn’t love. You’re a prostitute. That’s all. Whatever he feels for you, it can be resolved in hundred dollar banknotes.

But that’s not what it feels like. Not when those eyes are looking me up and down, taking in every inch of my flesh. It feels good, I think, to have his eyes upon me like this. Almost like a special kind of caress. Almost like I can feel it. My skin tingles underneath his glance, as if it’s being touched lightly. Arousal suffuses my cheeks and shivers run up and down my spine.

Mr. X. takes his fingertips and brushes them lightly against my cheek, where desire has reddened them most.

“So, my dear,” he says. “Am I guessing correctly that you are as aroused as I am right now?”

I say nothing as he takes my hand and places it against his rock-hard erection. The feel of him through his trousers makes me wetter than ever. The space between my thighs is damp with need.

He reaches next between that place, feeling me up through my jeans. He can feel me, I know that much – feel how much I want him. I lean back and moan softly as he rubs a little – just a little – bringing me a tantalizing inch closer to ecstasy.

“Believe me,” he murmurs, his voice throaty and low. “I could do this all day. Part of me wants to. But there’s so much I want to share with you right now.”

I laugh a little, my voice husky with desire. “More than this?”

“No,” he admits. “But sex – Staci, I could share just sex with any of the girls at the Blue Room. You’re special. I want to share something else with you, too.”

I groan. He’s gotten me fired up – now all I want is for him to make love to me again. But he’s the boss, I remind myself. His rules go. And if he wants to save me for later – well, I’ll just have to ache in silence.

“What would you like to do, then?” Immediately I’m all smiles.

“Hm….” Mr. X. considers. “What would you say to a long walk along the beach?” He motions to the waters sparkling below us. “After all, this house has a private path down the cliff leading to the sea.”

“That sounds…almost romantic,” I say.

He laughs. “I suppose it does.”

He leads me down the path, covered and strewn with flowers. The vines are alive with color: riotous reds and blues, oranges and yellows, pinks so bright they almost blind me. Mr. X. picks one of the flowers and places it in my hair, tangling it in my tresses.
