46 Adrianou and Vrysakiou streets

The ancient wall is embedded into an exterior wall of a building at the corner of 46 Adrianou and Vrysakiou streets (PH3) and is visible from Vrysakiou street. It comprises the eastward continuation of the wall preserved to a great height to the east of the Stoa of Attalos inside the archaeological site of the Agora. This action was decided in 1962, when the Central Archaeological Council nullified the granting of a building permit.65 The proposals for an expropriation or outright purchase order for archaeological purposes was based on the proximity of the find to the Stoa of Attalos and the existing wall there.
