Nasal Plosion

Nasal plosion, sometimes called implosion, occurs when a stop-plosive is followed by a nasal consonant and the nasal is made in the same place of articulation as the stop-plosive. Since the position of the articulators does not change between the unaspirated stop and the nasal, the articulation is carried out by the action of the soft palate, which relaxes to release the breath stream through the nose:
