As much as possible, I use real Atlanta settings and lore in my stories: "Small Favors" is no exception. The Marquis is one of the city's most well-known hotels. I've rendered it faithfully except for one detail — the real Atlanta Marriott Marquis doesn't have exterior balconies. But it does, occasionally, have faux pirates.
