Alyssa rolled over and felt warm skin under her fingertips. A smile curled her lips up. She’d never slept all night with a man before. It was nice waking up to someone else in bed with her. Luke’s arm snaked out and he tugged her closer.

“Morning,” he murmured, burying his face in her neck. “Sleep good?”

“Like the dead.” Her entire body ached but in a good way. God, the things he’d done to her. She was never going to look at sex the same again. Hell, she wasn't going to be able to look at herself in a mirror without grinning.

“I’ve got to get ready for a meeting at ten. I’m going to grab some water. You thirsty?” He nuzzled along her jaw and what she really wanted to say was that she was hungry again, for him.

“Sure. You want me to get the shower started?” she asked playfully.

“That sounds like a great idea.” He threw the covers back and rolled out of bed gracefully. She stared at his naked ass as he left the room. The man didn't have a single ounce of modesty, which probably had something to do with the size of his ego.

Alyssa could not get the stupid grin off her face. This was good. She’d never had a one night stand before, but she was pretty sure that they involved sneaking out before dawn. Luke hadn’t indicated that she should leave yet. In fact they were going to shower together.

Maybe there was a chance this could be something more? Last night had been incredible. She had no idea sex could be so...good. Good wasn’t even the word she meant. Fantastic. Mind blowing. Earth shattering.

And hadn’t there been moments of real connection? The way he’d looked into her eyes…even the thought of it could still conjure chills through her body.

She shook her head at her own boy-craziness and laughed out loud, crawled from the bed. Luke’s shirt was on the chair where he tossed it last night so she grabbed it and slid her arms in. She only buttoned the two middle ones, since she wasn’t keeping it on long.

Outside the window, the sun reflected off the ocean and she couldn’t resist the urge to stop and stare for a minute. If she lived in a house like this, she would never ever close the curtains. Dream on, she thought. This lifestyle was way out of her reach.

She padded across the thick carpet and was about to go into the bathroom when something caught her eye. The thick black file folder might have been there last night, but she couldn’t have noticed it in the dark. Now, however, in the cold light of day, it was as if it was glowing neon.

The name printed on the outside of the folder was like a knife to her solar plexus.

The Rockford Group. The bolded letters were crisp, clean and devastating.

Her stomach dropped. Could it be coincidence that Luke had a folder with the Rockford Group’s name on the outside?
