A week later

I couldn’t lie. Whitney did make one of hell of a lasagna. The fact that she could take care of Emery, cook, and had a pussy made of gold only added to the feelings that I had for her.

“You’re coming out with us tonight. It’s been almost a year since you’ve gone out to the bar with us to celebrate closing a contract.” Jay, my best friend and business partner, demanded into the phone. It had been a long as time since I’d left the house without Emery, but in my defense, I loved the little girl too much to just leave her with a sitter whenever I wanted to do something. If she couldn’t go then I just didn’t go.

“I’m a dad, Jay. I have responsibilities and a life, and shit that needs to be done around the house. Emery and I have a lot going on.” I didn’t mention Whitney yet and it wasn’t because I was hiding her, it was because I wanted her to remain mine and only mine for as long as possible. I didn’t care who knew about us. I just wanted to enjoy what I had with her, just with her for now.

“Being a dad doesn’t give you a reason to just stay held up in your house. Emery is adorable and so fuckin cute but that doesn’t mean you spend every waking minute with her. Take some time for yourself tonight. Meet me at Club X. I’ll buy drinks.” I knew more than anyone that Jay wouldn’t take no for an answer. If anything he would show up here with a babysitter in hand and force me to go out.

I scrubbed a hand down my face, “Jay…” I growled out frustrated that he was giving me no out.

“It’s for the good of your sanity. It’s not bad to socialize either and I miss hanging out with you, dude.” Before I could answer, Whitney walked into my office, her hair was curled, and she was wearing a pair of jean shorts that should be illegal.

“Fine, but I’m warning you now I’m bringing someone with me tonight, and she’s mine,” I spoke forcefully into the phone before hitting the end key, but not before hearing him bust out in laughter.

“Who was that?” Whitney asked, batting her eyes seductively at me. Fuck me. It was getting really fucking hard to focus on work when my cock kept trying to escape my jeans.

“My best friend, Jay. We just closed another deal with a client and he wants to go out and celebrate tonight.” I ran a hand through my hair. Whitney could see the frustration rolling off of me in waves and she was so very bad for coming in here when she knew I had been waiting till she said she was ready to have sex again.

“You look a little stressed and baby girl is napping….” She teased, licking her lips. I knew the look in her eyes because it mirrored my own.
