She went to her daughter's room, sitting on her bed as she listened to him fumbling in the bathroom before the room fell silent. Lying down, she rolled a few times, purposefully mussing her hair before picking up the alarm clock and staring. She waited an hour, her body finally starting to feel heavy, before getting up and pretending to stumble to the bathroom.

Flicking the light on and closing the door, she studied herself. She... Almost looked like she could pass for having been sleeping, right? Though.. She was still wearing makeup and it was nearly immaculate, even her lipstick barely smudged from eating. She blinked several times, before closing her eyes halfway and deciding that that gave the appearance of having been asleep. She flushed the toilet to keep up appearances before turning on the faucet and washing her hands. Her eyes half lidded, she flicked the light off again, stumbling to the master bedroom and crawling into bed next to James.

Her hand trembling, she gingerly reached over him, wrapping an arm around him before scooting closer and pillowing her head on his – deliciously bare – chest. When he didn't react, she curled her body around him, even going as far as to throw her leg over him. She wasn't surprised that he was still wearing his jeans but she couldn't imagine that was comfortable. She pressed an open-mouthed kiss to his chest – very aware of the small lipstick stain she'd left on his chest – before letting her fingers trail downwards so she could at least unbutton him. When she felt him stir beneath her, she burrowed her face against him, instantly stilling her hands and feigning sleep.

She was... Fairly certain he wasn't fooled, his body suddenly tense below her. She pressed another kiss to his chest, this one far less focused, before nuzzling against him. At this he seemed to.. Calm, letting out a slow breath before hugging her to him and gently kissing her head.

There we go. Much better. “James,” she sighed contently, her eyes drifting closed. And then she realized what she'd said.

Fuck.

He was supposed to think she'd stumbled in, half-asleep. An accident.

“Uhm- I-I mean, Marky,” she chewed her lower lip, positive she wasn't convincing. She didn't look up at him, positive he knew she'd been calculating every move. Instead, she moved her leg, running her foot up his calf and brushing her knee against his length.

“Vanessa?”

He was awake. Well, damn. Oh well. Time to turn up the seduction then.

Pressing another kiss to his chest, she let her fingers resume their task, unzipping his jeans and slipping her hand past the elastic of his boxers. “Mm?” she mumbled, continuing to press kisses up his chest and to his throat, privately thrilled with the way her lipstick was staining his skin.

“Wh- Vanessa, what are you doing? I-I'm not Mark. You can't-” he stuttered, freezing again.

“We have before, James,” she reminded him, her breath hot against his neck as she teased his sensitive skin with her tongue and teeth.
