Maybe something with a warranty. To be honest, I wasn’t thrilled with the speed of this one. I’m sure there’s a more powerful machine that moves a little faster.”

Jeff sent him a blank stare. “More powerful than this one? Ah well, Carter. I think we’d better give the fuck machine a rest for a while. I wasn’t as into it as much as I thought I’d be. It was way too rough for me, and I’ve been worried it’s not good for you. Seriously, getting fucked so much, not to mention so fast, has to take its toll on the body. I think we should go back to using good old Jolly Roger from now on.” Then he smiled, slipped into the bathroom, and shut the door before Carter had a chance to object.

For a minute or two, Carter remained still, processing what Jeff had just said. He couldn’t understand how getting fucked on a regular basis wasn’t considered natural and good for a person. When Carter had been with Domenic the first five years, Domenic had fucked him two and three times a day and he’d never had any serious issues—other than a few bruises on the backs of his legs, and once he hit his head on the headboard and had to have X-rays. Though the fucking petered out to once a day or once every two days after the first five years of their marriage, Carter’s health hadn’t suffered at all. Neither had Domenic’s. Actually, Carter was a lot calmer back then and less likely to jump on anyone with harsh comments. He smiled more, slept better, and his complexion had never been smoother. The only thing that bothered Carter now about getting fucked so much by Domenic was the times he’d turned him down because he’d been too tired or he’d been stressed out about something at work, especially the last night of Domenic’s life.

On the way out of the dinner party on Sunset Boulevard, Domenic had tried to pull down Carter’s pants and fuck him in the bushes next to the car and Carter had refused. He’d told Domenic he felt lightheaded and wasn’t in the mood, and Domenic had patted his back and helped him get into the car.

If there was one thing Carter could go back and change about his life, it would have been that fleeting moment. If he’d known it was Domenic’s last hour on this good Earth, Carter would have dropped his pants, bent over the trunk lid on the car, and spread his legs so wide the muscles in his groin would have split wide open.
