“And then you just left?” Rose asks.

“Yep. As soon as he was asleep, I was out the door. And that was it. The most incredible, magical, craziest night of my life was over.”

“Why?”

“Treat them mean – keep them keen,” I wink.

“Wow,” Rose states with her mouth still hanging open.

“I couldn’t help it Rose. It was the nerves, the curiosity, the excitement… and then there was Dale. My first teenage crush. And he was looking like the sexiest thing I have seen. It was all too much and I was lost in the moment. It was a perfect storm.”

“And the money?”

“I guess I get to spend it all now. I guess that’s what happens. I’m not sure.”

“You didn’t ask?”

“Like I said, there were not a lot of words used between us. It was a lot more about physical attraction. Lust. Desire. Need.”

“Wow…” Rose says with disbelief.

I am still in shock myself.

I never expected it to be the most magical night of my life.

But I guess that is what happens after years of lusting.

It was an explosion of desire.

“So let me get this straight – your ex-stepbrother, who was only your stepbrother for six weeks – is worth a truckload of money. So, because he’s worth a lot of money, he starts sending you envelopes full of cash. Then he sends you an invite. You go, and then have the best sex of your entire life. Right?”

“Sounds about right,” I grin. I can’t wipe the smile off my face after last night.

“That’s a bit elaborate just for sex, isn’t it? I mean, if he’s as hot as you say he is, and as rich, then he could have sex with anyone. Why go to all that trouble?”

“I guess he likes the game?” I question.

“No, I don’t think so,” Rose responds. “I think he likes you. Even after all these years, he is thinking about you. I think this is his attempt at romance. I think that you should be careful, because I think he is in love with you.”

“Really?” I laugh out loud.

“Really,” Rose responds.
