CHAPTER FOURTEEN

I wake up to Julian’s warm, wet kisses on my lips and all over my face. I blink my eyes open slowly. The bright sunlight fills the room through the windows. I feel so exhausted—I had lots of fun last night.

I smile when I see Julian’s blue eyes staring down at me with warmth and love. “How are you feeling?” he whispers.

I fidget underneath the luxurious white silk sheets. I feel a deep aching pain inside my belly as a strong reminder of last night. “I’m so sore,” I say quietly.

“Here is some Advil,” he hands me a pill and a bottle of water from the bed stand.

I sit up in bed and swallow the pill with gulps of water.

“I think I need more than an Advil after last night. I think I need an ice pack,” I rasp and smirk knowing it will stroke his ego.

He grins, content with himself.

He cuddles me to him and runs his fingertips up and down my back, while I lay on my side, my head resting on his chest, right underneath his chin.

We lay for a while savoring each other’s warm bodies. The painful ache in my belly slowly fades. I hear my stomach grumble loudly with ravenous hunger.

“Let have some breakfast on deck,” Julian says boyishly.

Oh no. I am so not looking forward to the glares of the chef and the captain. I know I was very loud last night because my throat is still so sore and dry.

“What are they going to think?” I say feebly.

“They will wish they were in my position,” Julian says arrogantly.

We get showered and dressed and head up to the aft deck for breakfast. The captain nods his head in respect toward Julian as he greets him, but the captain doesn’t even look at, or acknowledge me. What’s his problem?

The chef has prepared us a traditional Italian breakfast along with cappuccino. We sit down to eat while the chef greets us and smiles. His lips are turned up into a mischievous grin. He definitely knows what we were up to. He eyes gleam when he gazes at me. He leaves to let us eat our breakfast in peace.

We spend the afternoon scuba diving near Sorrento Coast and we hold hands as we admire the underwater world of the fish. Besides various colored fish, we also spot a turtle and an octopus.

After scuba diving for hours, we have lunch, and then Julian does some fishing from our yacht while I lay out on the sun deck. The hot sun, the gentle breeze from the sea, and the rolling waves rocking the yacht work together to lull me to sleep.

I wake up when Julian calls my name. He joins me on the sun deck and we feed each other strawberries dipped in Lindt chocolate spread while soaking up the sun and kissing.

In the evening, we sail to Nerano and have a romantic candlelight dinner on the beach while listening to the waves crashing loudly along the coastline.

Once we are back on the yacht, Julian and I sip on strong Italian red wine as we look up at the stars.
