Alec seemed relaxed as he turned the steaks on the indoor grill in his kitchen.

“Elisa and Cash are planning a get together Friday after work,” Jenna informed him. “I’m only moving fifteen feet away, but they insisted.”

“I’ll be there,” Alec said, not drawing his attention from the grill.

It had been a long-standing tradition that Alec had continued when he’d become VP of Software a couple years ago. They changed locales regularly, but it was at the Centura Hotel when Jenna and Alec had given in to their desire for the first time.

“I have fond memories of the Centura Hotel,” he said, his mouth curving.

“Do you? Why is that?”

Her entire body quivered and she was pretty sure that little cry came from her throat. Alec laughed as he released her wrists and stepped away, leaving her desperate for his touch and everything he promised.

“Dinner first,” he announced, returning to the stove.

“I hate you,” she muttered, eliciting another chuckle from him.

“It’s only fair, you left me alone for the past two nights.”

Yeah, because the last two nights had been an absolute joy for her. “I’m going to grab a shower,” she informed him.
