Chapter 13

The next week on tour is incredible. Cody and I are getting along exceptionally well, it’s like we’ve been together for much longer than we actually have, but I guess I have known him for most of my life. Our relationship feels comfortable but exhilarating at the same time. Of course the sex is mind-blowingly amazing. That chemical attraction that sizzles between us certainly makes for many blazing encounters between the sheets. In fact it’s not just between the sheets, the reality is that most times we have sex it’s anywhere but in a bed – it’s actually in bathrooms, against walls, bent over couches, in the back of the tour bus, squeezed together in a closet, in a hotel elevator and even once under the stage while the crew were doing sound check! Cody’s imagination and sex drive never ceases to astonish and excite me.

He’s also doing really well at spurning the attention he gets from the multitude of groupies. He simply doesn’t seem to be interested and I get the impression that he’s now finding their unrelenting interest rather annoying. He’s constantly being very attentive towards me. The best thing is that he doesn’t seem to mind at all, I’m pretty sure he’s enjoying my company as much as I’m enjoying his. I feel happy, at peace and contented. It’s a great sensation and I can’t keep the smile off my face.

All the Oblivion shows have been absolutely awesome and I’ve been enjoying myself so much. They’re incredible performers and every time I watch either one of their sound checks or one of their shows I feel elated and spend the whole time dancing and singing along. I’ve started to bring my trusty camera with me and I’ve managed to get some really cool shots of the guys in action. I especially like the ones I’ve got of Cody in the middle of his drum solo on his raised platform at the front of the stage. The look on his face is one of complete euphoria. It’s easy to capture his and the other guy’s enthusiasm and passion in a simple snapshot and I’m starting to build up quite a collection of really cool pictures.

It’s Sunday morning and we’re just about ready to ship out to the next city. Trixie left a little earlier this morning and has headed back home. She has a busy nightclub to manage back in LA and has reluctantly had to return to do some work.

We’re all lounging around the sitting area of the suite chatting and figuring out who has dibs on the back bedroom of the tour bus for this next stint. Because there are a number of couples nowadays, we have to take turns and we always make sure the bus is stocked with plenty of clean sheets!

We’re making plans for the next few days when Nikki’s mobile phone rings. He lifts it out of his pocket and looks at the screen. He smiles warmly and presses the button
