Chapter 16

IT WAS hard not to look back at Alex as he led him to the bedroom, but David’s willpower was absolute—he was terrified that if he looked, he’d lose his nerve. And oh, but he wanted Alex! He wanted to explore every inch of the tantalizing tattoos, taste the saltiness of his skin, take him in his mouth again. Make him beg for release.

Now that David’s mind wasn’t filled with Alex, the voice of insecurity reasserted itself. Why was it always like this? Why did he even have to think? In the living room, he’d been swept away by his physical need, unconcerned with rejection. Alex hadn’t complained—in fact, he’d appeared pleased that David had taken the lead. Why was it always such a struggle to let himself be?

“David?” Alex turned his head with a gentle hand, as if he sensed David’s hesitation.

Naked now, David made a conscious effort to relax into that hand, pressing against it greedily. Alex’s skin felt cool against his own. He reached up and brought Alex’s palm to his mouth, kissing it. “Do you want this?” he asked as he breathed in Alex’s musky aroma.

“Hell yes.” No uncertainty. Just reassurance.

David backed to the bed, sat down, and pulled Alex along with him. Alex laughed, tumbled onto his side and grabbed David’s shoulders, capturing his mouth. As their bodies pressed together, David’s hunger took over and he forgot his insecurity. David laughed too, pulled Alex’s hair—not roughly, but enough to make him gasp—then rolled him onto his stomach.

David felt the powerful muscles of Alex’s buttocks beneath the smooth expanse of skin. David was glad there was no ink here. Much as he found the tattoos powerfully appealing, he couldn’t deny the perfect curve where back met ass was even more so.

He ran his palms hungrily over each cheek, following them with his mouth. He needed every sense filled with Alex, needed to taste him, smell him, possess him. He nipped, gently at first, then harder when he felt Alex’s body rise to meet his lips. He watched the tiny marks blossom and fade, swept his thumbs over the pinked skin, then reached between Alex’s legs to cup his balls with tender hands.

One moan and then another, each reassuring David, guiding him onward. Bolder now, he licked Alex’s sac as he spread the globes of his ass. Tentatively, he traced a finger over Alex’s opening. Just a light touch at first, but when Alex rumbled his approval, he licked a finger and pressed the tip of it inside.

“Want you inside me.” Alex’s voice was rough with arousal.

“You’re impatient.” David pressed farther inward to his knuckle, reveling in the knowledge that somehow he was the one making Alex beg.

“God, David, I’ve been waiting for this since the night I met you. Please.”

David stilled, taking in the words, savoring them. No one had ever begged him before. Nobody had ever wanted him like this, or if they had, he hadn’t recognized it.

“David. Fuck me. Please. I’m gonna lose my mind.
