Today I washed your hands

Bereft of all their warmth

Today I washed your feet

Never to stride again in might

Today I covered your face

A wellspring of joy run dry

Yet the world turns on in vain

Ignorant of the pain

Never to comprehend its claim

Of a light no darkness could contain

Put out in the deceitful laps

Of the tranquil tropical waves

Rehan Nazrali was born in Nairobi, Kenya in 1971 where he remained until he was 13 when he emmigrated to New York City with his family. He lived in Queens for the next 30 years and went to Law School at St Johns Law School. He was married to Karima Popatia and is now separated pending a divorce. Currently, he is afianced to Irina Milnikova, a lovely woman from Georgia in the Caucuses. He owns a law firm in New York City where he practices

Personal Injury and Immigration Defense. His hobbies are reading, watching movies, dinning out, and making time for friends and family. He enjoys political science fiction, particularly espionage and historical fiction. His long term goals are to publish his own fiction and non-fiction works.
