The bartender was irritated that the escort did not respond to him even after he had asked her twice for her drink order. He did not miss the short dress, leather boots and heavy make-up. He rolled his eyes and went back to polishing the glass, ignoring her. The last thing on his mind was serving a snooty hooker. When she was finished reading, she tapped on the wooden bar top to attract his attention.

‘What do you want?’ he asked her with a scowl on his face.

‘Vodka on the rocks,’ she replied with a smile. The bartender rolled his eyes again but went about fixing the drink for her. He took his time to put it all together but Geeta was not perturbed. She was waiting for someone and she had all the time in the world. When he finally served her the drink, she smiled again, took a sip, winked at him and said in her best husky voice, ‘Sexy stuff’. The bartender gave her a brief nod and went back to his glass polishing. She was about to ask him something when, in the rear view mirror, she saw the main entrance door open and ex-commissioner RP walk in. She looked at her watch: 9:15 PM. She saw him looking around until he spotted her and started walking up to her.

‘Hi!’ he said, slipping into the seat next to her at the counter.

Geeta turned around, looked at him and asked, ‘RP?’

‘Yes,’ he said, relieved he had come to the right person. He was about to order for a drink himself when she said, ‘Not here. There.’ She pointed to one of the cabins.

‘Of course,’ replied RP, licking his dry lips.

‘What will you have?’ she asked, batting her eyelashes.

‘What are you drinking?’ RP asked.

‘Smirnoff on the rocks. I like it clear and smooth,’ she purred.

‘Well then, I will have the same,’ he said, giving her a knowing smile.

‘A full bottle of Smirnoff,’ Geeta said, turning to the bartender as she slipped off the barstool. The bartender looked at RP who nodded at him. The bartender dipped underneath the counter and came up with a full bottle of vodka. He was about to carry the bottle and the two glasses for them into the cabin but Geeta slapped his hand away and said, ‘I’ll get that.’

The bartender shot her an angry look but quietly removed his hand. Geeta reached out and picked up the bottle in one hand and the glasses in the other, winked at RP and said saucily, ‘Shall we?’

‘Lead the way,’ said RP as he looked at her with lust-filled eyes.

She walked ahead, leading RP to the cabin, her hips swaying to the beat as she walked across the dance floor. Inside the cabin, RP smiled as he looked at her back when she bent down to put the bottle and two glasses on the table. He double-locked the door and settled on a white sofa. He had just about removed his jacket and was hanging it on the coat stand by the side of the sofa when the bottle came crashing on his head.
