Crawford’s cell phone rang.

“Hello?”

“Charlie, hi, it’s David Balfour. I’ve got to speak to you.”

“Sure, David, what’s up?”

“I mean, in person,” Balfour said.

“You want to come down here, to the station?” Crawford asked.

“No way,” Balfour said. “Can you come back here again?”

“Sure. Give me fifteen minutes.”
