There are so many things that I want to do.

The main one is to go down a single fucking floor and check on the rest of the girls. When I was being dragged away from the house, I saw that at least one of them was knocked unconscious by the blast. And, I had one choice as to who I got to see and it took me less than a minute to make the decision that I needed to check on Katya first.

Her words still ring through my head, I know she was saying everything so she could hurt me, trying to get in a way that would make me feel the way she is currently.

After everything she has lived through, I knew not to take even the beginning of trust from her for granted. But now that I have lost it all, I realise that it felt so much like a drug that its absence feels like physical pain shooting through my body. Everything here is being monitored, from how long I’m in the toilet to how I interact with the people who know me.

I went from having nothing, having lost everything, to rising up in Konstantin’s ranks in a world I never thought I would be involved in and yet even through all of that, right here is where I feel the most out of place. They should have told me they are pulling me out, but this is not the first time I have noticed how when it comes to my wellbeing - a lot of corners are being cut.

They can call me deluded, they can say that I have lost my senses and have been seduced by the world; but, it’s hard to want to give your life for an organisation and people who have never seen you as an equal to them. With time, this started weighing on me more and more. The memories started becoming more distant, time was separating me from the pain in my past. And all of the temptations around me stopped feeling forbidden.

Just when I thought I had decided to leave it all behind, that the life I am living is not something they would have wanted for me, that is when Yekaterina came into my life. I was ready to quit, fake my own death if I had to but I was done with Konstantin and Interpol. I only stayed because of the girls, but in the same way as what I said to Noam - I can save 3 girls but with one call, 5 more are going to be picked up off the street.

My head is pounding even through the painkillers I was given an hour ago, they have dulled the pain a little but not enough. Although, the pain is acting like a good reminder lest I forget just how much I have fucked up and have to make up for.

It’s not even that I feel guilty about everything because I know a lot of things
